Our Peer Mentoring service is made for students, by students. We offer peer-to-peer support and connect students with upper-year student mentors to help support academic development and growth. Undergraduate and graduate students in all years can connect with a PAM to help them build a study schedule, discuss note-taking methods, learn about campus resources or discuss opportunities to get involved.

Peer Academic Mentors
The ASC has two Peer Academic Mentors (PAMs) who are fellow Bishop’s students. PAMs are responsible for meeting 1-on-1 with students to help them with their academic needs. You can book a 25-minute appointment with a PAM or stop in during their weekly drop-in hours at the ASC, which is located at the top of the stairs on the second floor in the Library!
PAMs also work on their own independent initiatives that support the academic development of students here at Bishop’s.

My name is Mare, and I am this year’s Student Success Manager. As the SSM, I am responsible for overseeing the Academic Success Centre. My role involves overseeing the Peer Academic Mentors and Bishop’s Peer Tutoring Program through Nimbus, meeting with students about generalized academic initiatives or inquiries and tutoring, and coordinating our services with other supports here at BU.
