Your Peer Academic Mentors are a free service offered by the BUSRC, here to offer advice and guide students through their academic lives at BU. We have a Peer Academic Mentor for each academic division — the humanities, natural sciences & mathematics, education, business, and social sciences. The Peer Academic Mentors can help you navigate the academic community at Bishop’s, including tutoring services, research, internships, extracurricular academic opportunities, journal submissions, and anything related to academics. Hi everyone! My name is Kate and I am so excited to be your Education Peer Academic Mentor this year. I’m a Secondary Education student with a concentration in Drama from Truro, Nova Scotia and I love being involved around campus at Bishop’s. I’m also involved in BU Dance, the Charity Fashion Show, The Campus newspaper and BUAHS, so you can tell I like to keep myself busy! My favourite study spot is the quiet room in the library. It’s the best place to be if you need a really calm and chill environment to get some work done.
