Job Title: SRC Photographer
Organization: Bishop’s University Students’ Representative Council
Term of Employment: mid-August 2026 – April 2027
Expected Hours: 4-8 hours/week
Salary and Benefits: $17/hour and free entrance to SRC events.
Job Summary: The SRC Photographer is responsible for taking photos of the student experience for use by the SRC. The SRC Photographer will work under the direction of the Manager of Communications and Engagement, and in collaboration with other SRC photographers.
Requirements:
- Must be a full-time or part-time degree student at Bishop’s University, enrolled for 2026-27
- Must be in good academic standing and have security clearance from the University
- Must be present at Bishop’s University from mid-August 2026 to April 30, 2027
Nature of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Manager of Communications and Engagement to take photos for SRC events and promotional material for SRC services and/or operations
- Take photos at locations, services and events as directed by the Director of Communications and Engagement, including, but not limited to: Orientation Week, Hallowfest, Winterfest, The Gait, Student Success Centre, SafeDrive, Grad Formal and SRC Awards Night, as well as photos for the yearbook.
- Take photos of everyday campus life for use as stock images.
Skills Required:
- Photography and editing skills.
- Good time management skills;
- Creative
- Independent
- Videography skills an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have own camera equipment including backup battery, spare memory cards, etc.
- Must be willing to place their duties as SRC Photographer above all other non-academic responsibilities.
