How can I opt-out of the health and dental insurance plan?

Do I need to purchase the plan?
No! If you already have some form of health insurance you can simply opt out of paying for the year, however this is something you must choose to do every year.
Can I choose to opt out of only one or the other?
Yes! If you are only looking for health or dental insurance you may choose to only opt out of one insurance that you don’t need.
What do I do if I’m coming in the Winter semester?
If you’re arriving for the winter semester you can choose to opt out of the insurance as if you started at the beginning of the Fall semester (note that only students first arriving for this semester have this option), or if you need the coverage you will have coverage from January 1st to August 31st.
