Are you in the Humanities? Are you interested in innovation through the Humanities? Would you like to discover research from a non-academic point of view? Do you want concrete examples of past success stories?
If so, you are invited to attend a presentation on MITACS’ collaborative funding programs on Monday, 4 November from 12 to 1pm in Cleghorn (McGreer Building). This presentation will be led by Audrey Paillé (Business Development Advisor at MITACS), your point of contact for Bishop’s University, and is brought to you by Bassam Chiblak (Experiential Learning) as part of Humanities Week.
MITACS is a Canadian not-for-profit agency that facilitates connections between partner organizations and academic experts with the goal of strengthening Canada’s innovation capacity through research collaborations and student internships. The programs offered support the funding of research collaborations on a national or international scale, the development of innovation within Canadian companies and other structures, as well as international student mobility.
The purpose of this presentation is to provide you with an overview of the different types of programs offered by MITACS, as well as how they work, but also to present concrete examples of collaborative projects and innovations in the Humanities that have already received support from MITACS.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!
