“Faux plis par hypothèses” is a group exhibition curated by Louise Déry, Director of the Galerie de l’UQAM, and Marie-Hélène Leblanc, Director of the Galerie UQO. The project, supported by Quebec’s Chief Scientist, highlights the singular role of the university gallery and reflects on the relationship between art and science. The thirteen artistic bodies of work selected by the curators are deployed in five exhibition and research spaces in Quebec: Galerie UQO, Galerie de l’UQAM, Galerie l’Œuvre de l’Autre, Jardins de Métis and the Foreman Art Gallery. As part of « Faux plis par hypothèses » (FPPH), the Foreman Art Gallery presents works by Anna Binta Diallo, Sophie Jodoin, Eruoma Awashish & Mélanie Myers, as well as an installation featuring interventions by all the artists involved in the project.
