Having studied across contrasting economic realities and taken part in action-based community organizations in Montreal, I’m willing to bring from this experience to help shape a student body based upon the recognition, valuing and integration of the diverse and unique life experiences carried by each one of us. Aiming at prioritizing humanity, authenticity and diversity in our ways of connecting, I intend to bridge students’ visions and ideas to resources and solutions which foster interconnection, cultural exchange and contributions to the surrounding community and the local environment. For this, I have the broad goals of stimulating opportunities and spaces of reflexive dialogue for students, of voicing initiatives of community engagement which potentialize students’ impacts into local surroundings of Bishop’s (e.g. Lennoxville and Little Forks) and of facilitating the communication of issues which occur to both on- and off-campus students, so that solutions can be constructed collectively and made more accurate in addressing what is needed by our community.
