What is the BUSRC?
The Bishop’s University Students Representative Council is an organisation that works independently from the university itself. We are a student organisation of which every student that pays tuition to Bishop’s is a part of (meaning every student except for ones on exchange from other universities is a part of the SRC).
Is the BUSRC the same as Bishop's?
A common misconception is that the SRC and the university are the same entity, and although we do work very closely together we are not the same organisation. The SRC is a nonprofit organisation that charges student fees to help improve the Bishop’s community through supplying funding for different SRC clubs, organising events such as O-Week or Winterfest, and much more!
Who oversees the BUSRC?
Much of this is overseen by the BSR (Board of Student Representatives), which consists of representatives, senators, and executives elected by the student body. The SRC also has many other hired staff members that work to help offer many different services that you can find on this website!
