The BUnited Peer Support Centre is an on-campus community space for students to gather both virtually and in person to support one another in a safe, and confidential environment. BUnited is located in the Student Union Building, (in the International Centre) with its own external access door, next to the Mailroom and Printshop.
The students working at the Peer Support Centre have been trained in active listening, appropriate boundaries, and confidentiality to provide healthy emotional support to their peers.
In addition to 1:1 peer support, the centre hosts weekly Wellness Wednesday lunch time activities between 12:30pm – 1:30pm, and Community Events every Thursday from 4pm – 8pm. Fridays and Saturdays, the space is open from 4 – 10pm and Sundays from 2 – 6pm for socializing and support.
The Peer Support Centre is also home to the Bishop’s Community Cupboard, where students who are struggling financially can access free groceries, including toiletries and school supplies. We also accept donations during our opening hours, or via the box located in Doolittles!
