Do you like stargazing? Have a passion for recreational mathematics or physics? Want to connect with others that have similar interests? Look no further than the Astronomy, Mathematics & Physics Society (AMPS) right here at Bishop’s University. We are always looking for members to join our group. Despite the club’s name, you do not need to major in math or physics! We welcome anyone interested in meeting others that enjoy astronomy, mathematics and/or physics. Some of the many activities we have done or are planning on doing include: Using the BU Observatory for night sky viewings, hosting math and physics related social events, holding a math/physics hackathon, and an overnight visit to the Mont-Mégantic dark sky reserve and observatory.

The Politics and International Studies Association is a student-led group that runs events, advocates for students, advertises opportunities, and seeks to enhance the student experience for members of our department. Throughout the year we run events such as Things I Wish I Knew In First Year, Trivia Nights, panel discussions, and speakers nights aimed at creating a sense of community and comfort within the department. We also run a weekly blog through which we share student and alumni spotlights and highlight interesting opportunities within Bishops and within our department. Most of all, we are a resource for all students in the Politics and International Studies program and a place where our students can turn for help, answers to questions, and advice on navigating our department.
